Starting April 2027, pension payments in Uzbekistan can be credited to an e-wallet in a bank’s mobile app rather than just to a bank card, according to a presidential decree dated September 28.
From April 2027, pension payouts in Uzbekistan can be sent either to a bank card or to a pension e-wallet in a bank’s mobile app. The Central Bank, together with commercial banks, is tasked with introducing a new procedure for funding pension payouts through a single commercial bank account. Starting November 1, 2026, bank card issuance services for pensioners must use Face ID biometric identification.
At the same time, employers will be required by November 1, 2026, to record data in the Unified National Labor System electronic database on specialized work experience and working conditions that qualify employees for preferential pensions. Starting January 1, 2027, citizens will be able to apply to switch their pension payouts to cash via public service centers or the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services.
