Uzbekistan’s digital ecosystem Uzum has placed its fifth corporate bond issue for 600 billion soums with an 18% coupon yield. The total volume of the five bond issues on the Tashkent Republican Stock Exchange reached 2.1 trillion soums, with non-residents accounting for about 60% of the funds raised. The proceeds are directed toward developing the ecosystem’s fintech division. On September 15, the National Agency of Perspective Projects also registered Uzum’s sixth bond issue for $50 million with an 8.5% yield — the company’s first foreign currency issue under the NAPP regulatory sandbox.
