The President of Uzbekistan issued a decree on the customs development strategy until 2030, which includes raising the undeclared foreign currency export limit from the current 100 million soums to the equivalent of $10,000.
A draft law permitting this export must be prepared by the end of December 2027. The strategy also grants Uzbek citizens the right to temporarily import foreign-registered cars for personal use, backed by customs payment security. In addition, plans call for cutting average customs clearance times from 4 hours and 10 minutes to 2 hours for imports, and from 2 hours and 20 minutes to 30 minutes for exports.
