Ipak Yuli Bank (Uzbekistan) has announced a change in its top leadership. Effective May 26, 2026, Umidjon Khakimov has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Management Board.
What happened
Umidjon Khakimov replaced Saidabror Saidakhmedov as the head of the bank, who had led the financial organization since 2018.
The former executive is not leaving the organization. According to the bank, Saidakhmedov has decided to continue working at Ipak Yuli Bank in a new role.
The new executive's experience
Umidjon Khakimov has been working in the banking sector for over 25 years. The official statement specifically highlights his experience interacting with international financial institutions.
For a long time, the manager's career was tied to Asia Alliance Bank: from 2011 to 2021, he worked there as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, and from 2021 to 2023, he headed the bank.
In April 2026, Khakimov joined Ipak Yuli Bank as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, after which he was approved for the position of the top executive.
Why it matters
The smooth transition of management and the emphasis on the new executive's experience with international financial institutions may indicate that attracting external funding remains one of the priority areas for the bank.
