Tashkent International Financial Centre joins World Alliance of International Financial Centers

The Tashkent International Financial Centre (TIFC) has become a member of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers (WAIFC), which brings together international financial hubs.

The decision follows a meeting of the Interagency Working Group of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of Uzbekistan, focused on establishing the TIFC. Representatives from the Asian Development Bank, JPMorgan, the International Finance Corporation, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, BlackRock, and other organizations took part in the discussions.

Hubertus Väth, Managing Director of Frankfurt Main Finance and Vice Chair of the WAIFC, presented recommendations for launching the centre. Participants discussed attracting foreign investment, developing financial products and services, building infrastructure, training personnel, and addressing potential hurdles for investors.
