Starting November 1, the customs processing fee for international courier shipments in Uzbekistan will drop by 20%, from 8,800 to 7,040 soums per kilogram.
The reduction is outlined in an October 12 presidential decree (PP-368) by Shavkat Mirziyoyev on developing the transport and logistics sector. The fee rate will be set at 1.6% of the base calculating amount instead of the current 2%.
For a 5 kg parcel, the fee will fall from 44,000 to 35,200 soums, and for a 10 kg parcel to 70,400 soums. Customs authorities collect the payment on all international courier shipments.
