According to the August survey by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the average estimate of price growth over the past 12 months stood at 10.1%, down 0.2 percentage points from the June level.
The median perceived inflation rate remains at 9%. Residents were less likely to report price increases for electricity and natural gas (19% versus 27% in July), as well as confectionery products (11% versus 16%).
Meat and dairy products continue to top the list of goods with rising prices, cited by 58% of respondents. Fuel was highlighted by 42% of respondents, and fruits and vegetables by 27%.
