Scammers are sending users direct messages with an app called the “new Uzbek keyboard” and asking them to install it on their phones to steal bank card details.
According to Ipak Yuli Bank, fraudsters are distributing the malware disguised as a keyboard for the Uzbek alphabet. They send installation links via private messages on social networks and messaging apps.
Once installed, the app can gain access to the user’s bank card details.
