Loan Portfolio of Uzbek Banks Grows to 644.6 Trillion UZS

From January to July 2026, the total outstanding loan balance of Uzbekistan’s banking system increased from 604.0 trillion UZS to 644.6 trillion UZS, or by 6.7%.

Loans to individuals amounted to 239.8 trillion UZS, with 88.1 trillion UZS accounting for mortgages, 46.7 trillion UZS for microcredits, and 51.1 trillion UZS for microloans. Corporate loans reached 404.8 trillion UZS, up 5.5% over the period, with microcredits in this segment rising by 22.1% and leasing and factoring operations expanding by 27.5%. Legal entities account for roughly 63% of the loan portfolio, while individuals make up 37%.
