Uzbekistan’s Ipak Yuli Bank has begun issuing the Visa Kids card, which can be linked to a parent’s UZS-denominated Visa card to track spending via the bank’s app.
The card is issued for children aged 7 to 16 and is linked to one of the parent’s UZS Visa cards: Visa Start Sum, Woman Card, Visa Infinite Sum, Visa Platinum Sum, or Visa Oylik. Parents can set daily and monthly spending limits, disable online purchases, and temporarily block the card via the Ipak Yuli Mobile app. A notification is sent to the app after every transaction.
Card issuance is free, with registration available at the bank’s branches. Under a promotion running through December 31, 2026, issuance remains commission-free. Multiple Visa Kids cards for different children can be linked to a single parent account. The card is issued in Uzbek soums and carries no maintenance fee.
