Yangi Bank headquarters listed for sale at reduced price of 120 billion soums

According to spot.uz, Yangi Bank’s liquidation commission has put the bank’s five-story building in Tashkent up for auction again with a starting price of 120 billion soums — 43.3 billion soums lower than in the summer.

The 3,648-square-meter property on Amir Temur Avenue in the Yunusabad district is listed on the E-auksion online trading platform. In the summer, an auction with a price tag of 163.33 billion soums was canceled and did not take place. Bids are accepted through October 5 inclusive, with a deposit set at 1.2 billion soums.

The sale comes as part of Yangi Bank’s liquidation following the Central Bank’s revocation of its license on January 15. As of June 10, the bank owed 76.54 billion soums to fourth-tier creditors. Proceeds will go toward satisfying the claims of creditors whose deposits are not covered by the Deposit Guarantee Agency.
