International rating agency Fitch has revised its outlook on Uzbekistan’s Ipoteka Bank OTP Group’s long-term rating from “stable” to “positive”, affirmed the rating at BB, and upgraded the bank’s Viability Rating from b to b+.
According to Fitch, the revision reflects stronger capitalization, better asset quality, and resilient profitability. The Fitch Core Capital ratio increased from 12% to 18.5%, CET1 stood at 17.6% at the end of the first half of 2026, and the share of Stage 3 loans dropped to 19.7% from 23% in mid-2024. OTP Bank owns 73% of Ipoteka Bank OTP Group, while the International Finance Corporation acquired a 9% stake in the lender.
