In the first half of 2026, Uzbekistan’s commercial banks prevented over 18 million fraudulent transactions totaling more than 461 billion UZS, the Central Bank’s press service reported. The top 10 banks accounted for 3.9 million cases, while the remaining banks handled 14.2 million. Antivirus systems embedded in mobile banking apps restricted access to 1.28 million devices and removed malware from 2 million devices. Banks also deployed session-based anti-fraud systems that score transaction risks and block suspicious activity when high risks are detected.
