Founded in 1992, it is one of the first private banks in independent Azerbaijan. It serves retail clients, SMEs, and corporations through a wide branch network and digital channels; its shareholders historically included the EBRD. Its retail mobile app is published in the App Store as Mobil Şöbə (developer Bank Respublika OJSC), with an Android version in Google Play.
