The government is launching the “AI Partner for 10,000 Enterprises” program with a $100 million budget for its first phase. The state will cover 50% of AI integration costs for small and medium-sized businesses and provide free access to computing power.
What happened
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced a large-scale program to integrate artificial intelligence into small and medium-sized businesses. IT Park Uzbekistan reported the initiative.
Uzbek companies will receive direct financial support to digitize their operations. The state will compensate entrepreneurs for 50% of their AI implementation expenses. The budget will also fully cover related research and development costs.
According to the announced data, using management algorithms already yields measurable results: 54% of companies saw increased demand for their products, a quarter reduced their costs, and revenue growth allowed them to raise employee salaries by more than 10%.
Infrastructure and open data
The Digital Government Project Management Center has already launched its first supercomputer cluster. Next year, its computing capacity is expected to triple.
Businesses will get free access to these resources to train their own AI models and build new products. Ready-made programs and solutions for entrepreneurs will be collected on a single open platform.
Why it matters
For the Uzbek market, this initiative moves digitalization from talk to practice. The textile industry’s experience with automated management systems is now scaling to electrical engineering, building materials, and food production.
Direct state subsidies create guaranteed, solvent demand for local B2B services and fintech products. Developers will be able to actively pitch credit scoring, anti-fraud, personalization, and risk management systems to small businesses, knowing the budget will cover half the client’s bill.
What’s next
The initiative’s future depends on the regulatory framework. Relevant agencies must publish clear participant selection criteria, compensation mechanisms, and rules for accessing state computing power.
