The Central Depository of Armenia and ITS Central Securities Depository Limited have signed a depository cooperation agreement that will allow Armenian investors to access securities traded on the Kazakhstan stock exchange.
The agreement was signed on May 29, 2026, in Yerevan. It establishes the infrastructure foundation for cross-border custody, recordkeeping, and settlement of securities without requiring separate operational setups in each jurisdiction.
For ITS trading participants, the deal opens up access to Armenian stock market instruments, including equities, corporate bonds, and government bonds traded on the Armenia Securities Exchange (AMX). Ani Makaryan, CEO of the Central Depository of Armenia, noted that the depository aims to expand investor access not only in the local market, but across regional exchanges in Central Asia and Kazakhstan.
