Tajikistan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development have signed loan and grant agreements totaling €62.45 million for two projects: water supply and sanitation in Kulob, and the rehabilitation of the Baldzhuvon–Sari Khosor road.
The agreements were signed on October 27 during a meeting between Minister of Finance Faiziddin Qahhorzoda and EBRD Vice President Matteo Patrone. The road rehabilitation project will receive €52.85 million to reconstruct a 54.1-kilometer section, build 10 bridges, and install 121 culverts. The Kulob water supply project will receive €9.6 million, covering the construction and rehabilitation of reservoirs alongside improvements to drinking water quality.
