American venture capitalist Shervin Pishevar, founder of Sofreh Capital, has announced plans to open a company office in Kazakhstan and relocate part of its operations to the country.
Pishevar spoke at the Digital Bridge 2026 technology forum in Astana. He noted that Kazakhstan has qualified engineers, state support for innovation, and the resources needed to attract large-scale investments into the local artificial intelligence industry.
The investor cited the Higgsfield project being implemented in the country as an example, pointing to Kazakhstan’s mineral resources, satellite technologies, and nuclear infrastructure as essential for developing an AI economy.
