The retail microloan portfolio held by Kazakh MFIs shrank by 9.81 billion tenge to 1.323 trillion tenge in July 2026, marking its first drop since the start of the year.
As of August 1, the volume stood at 1.323 trillion tenge compared with 1.333 trillion tenge a month earlier. Despite the July contraction, the portfolio remains 30.63 billion tenge, or 2.37%, above its level at the start of the year. The volume of overdue microloans decreased by 8.60 billion tenge to 314.89 billion tenge.
