National Bank of Kyrgyzstan holds policy rate at 12%

On August 24, the Board of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic decided to keep the policy rate at 12% per annum.

The decision takes effect on August 25. The bank noted that external factors remain the primary driver of price dynamics in the country. Since the beginning of 2026, consumer prices in Kyrgyzstan have increased by 7.3%, with annual inflation reaching 11.7%. The board’s next scheduled meeting on the policy rate is set for October 26, 2026.
