National Bank Chairman Timur Suleimenov reported that KASE’s digital platform handled 34,000 trades in Bitcoin futures ETFs worth 20.5 billion tenge and 650 trades in new ETFs tracking three crypto assets worth 1 billion tenge.
The National Bank granted KASE the status of a digital financial asset platform operator and a digital asset trading platform operator. Three licensed exchange operators for unsecured digital assets currently operate in Kazakhstan, generating about 2 billion tenge in turnover during their first two months. Another five companies are undergoing the licensing process.
