Kazakhstanis trade 21.5 billion tenge in crypto assets on KASE platform

National Bank Chairman Timur Suleimenov reported that 34,000 trades in Bitcoin futures ETFs worth 20.5 billion tenge and 650 trades in new ETFs for three crypto assets worth 1 billion tenge were executed on the KASE digital platform. The National Bank granted KASE the status of a digital financial asset platform operator and a digital asset trading platform operator. Three licensed unsecured digital asset exchange operators operate in Kazakhstan; their turnover reached about 2 billion tenge in the first two months. Five more companies are undergoing licensing.
