Moody’s has assigned initial insurance financial strength ratings to Kazakhstan’s Freedom Insurance and Freedom Life at Ba1 and Baa3, respectively, both with a stable outlook.
The Baa3 rating for Freedom Life sits at investment grade, making it the first company within Freedom Holding Corp. to secure such a rating from Moody’s. Freedom Insurance ranked third in Kazakhstan’s non-life insurance market by gross premiums written in 2025 with an approximate 10% share, while Freedom Life is among the top three life insurers with around 20% of the market by premiums.
