Kazakh fintech Kaspi.kz has added a virtual SIM card sales service for international roaming to its app, covering 160 countries.
The new option in the Kaspi Travel section allows Kazakhstanis to connect to mobile internet abroad without buying physical SIM cards from local telecom operators. The service covers more than 160 countries, including Turkey, Egypt, Vietnam, Thailand, and China. Base mobile data rates start at 470 tenge per 1 GB.
eSIM setup is handled entirely online through the app. Users can select a preset plan or customize a package by choosing their data allowance and trip duration. Payment is charged to a Kaspi Gold card or paid with Kaspi Bonuses. The profile is activated in phone settings upon arrival at the destination. Users can track remaining gigabytes in the app, purchase additional data if needed, and transfer an eSIM to another user via a QR code.
