The Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) has started issuing tokenized securities on the Solana network to simplify the purchase of Kazakhstani instruments by foreign investors and reduce transaction costs. KASE Deputy Chairman Mikhail Grishko announced the move at the Moody’s Kazakhstan and CIS Summit. Tokenization allows investors to receive assets directly to their wallets at minimal cost, bypassing the traditionally high fees for buying tenge-denominated instruments. For issuers, tokenization simplifies digital debt registration through a platform operator without traditional procedures, while allowing assets to be fractionalized by amount and maturity. BitGo, a custodian with US National Trust status and insurance coverage, handles asset storage; all transactions undergo AML wallet checks.
