KASE begins publishing Islamic stock screening results

Starting September 9, Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) published on its website the results of an external screening of shares for compliance with Islamic investing principles.

The screening is conducted by fintech ecosystem Ailat using artificial intelligence for automated metric calculations, manual verification by experts, and an opinion from a Sharia Supervisory Board based on AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions) standards. KASE specified that the results are for reference only and do not constitute an investment recommendation, a return guarantee, or an official endorsement of compliance by the exchange.
