International trading hub ITS is introducing weekend securities trading in Kazakhstan for the first time, running on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 24:00 Astana time.
At the initial stage, investors will have access to 68 instruments: 50 selected stocks, ITS ETFs, and single-stock ETFs. Orders can be executed in the main trading mode, via negotiated deals, and through repo transactions. Investors will access trading through ITS member brokers.
On weekdays, ITS already operates for nearly 19 hours a day, from 9:00 to 3:45 the following day. The list of weekend instruments will expand based on demand from market participants. Going forward, the venue plans to extend trading sessions to 21 hours a day, seven days a week.
