According to kapital.kz, citing the Bureau of National Statistics, annual inflation in Kazakhstan reached 9.3% at the end of September 2026, with monthly inflation at 0.6%.
Over the year, food prices rose by 8.5%, non-food products increased by 11%, and paid services climbed by 8.9%. Over the month, price levels for non-food products grew by 1.1%, paid services increased by 1%, and food prices dipped by 0.1%.
Food products and non-alcoholic beverages made the largest contribution to the annual inflation rate, accounting for 3.2 percentage points. The drop in inflation below 10% in August 2026 marked the first time the figure has fallen below that threshold in the past year and a half.
