Since the beginning of 2026, Kazakhstan’s State Social Insurance Fund has disbursed 464.7 billion tenge in social benefits to over one million people, with the fund’s assets reaching 1.47 billion tenge by August 1.
At the end of the second quarter, the fund received 506.5 billion tenge in social contributions from 6.5 million participants in the mandatory social insurance system. The largest share of payouts went to support families with children: 208.9 billion tenge was received by 462,700 people caring for a child under the age of 1.5 years (averaging 84,605 tenge). Maternity benefits totaled 106 billion tenge for 97,400 recipients (averaging 1,214,021 tenge), while job loss benefits reached 88.1 billion tenge across 287,400 people (averaging 102,384 tenge).
