Kazakhstan’s ForteBank has enabled digital tenge operations in its ForteBusiness online banking platform, according to inbusiness.kz.
Clients can now open a digital tenge account, view balances and account statements, convert funds, and make VAT payments through the service. The full range of services remains available at the bank’s branches.
For VAT payments, ForteBusiness supports settlements for electronic invoices and payments under e-Contracts in digital tenge. The service targets participants in the “Digital VAT” pilot project, public procurement participants, recipients of targeted funding, and companies receiving subsidized loans under government programs. Participants in the “Digital VAT” project can receive an expedited VAT refund — within up to 15 business days, subject to compliance with the conditions.
A digital account can be opened via the ForteBusiness online banking platform at fortebusiness.forte.kz or at the bank’s branches.
