UAPF halts new transfer applications to Halyk Global Markets

Kazakhstan’s Unified Accumulative Pension Fund stopped accepting new applications to transfer pension assets to Halyk Global Markets on January 1, 2026, after the manager gave notice to terminate its contract from January 1, 2027.

Pension savings managed by Halyk Global Markets will remain with the firm until the contract terminates. Once the agreement ends, the assets will be transferred in full to the National Bank of Kazakhstan in cash; if any shortfall arises, Halyk Global Markets must cover it entirely. Since the start of 2026, 441 contributors have shifted 765.5 million tenge to other asset managers, while 881 contributors transferred 1.3 billion tenge back to the National Bank’s management.
