AM Best upgrades Eurasia Insurance to A−

According to kapital.kz, international rating agency AM Best has upgraded the financial strength rating of Kazakhstani insurer Eurasia from B++ to A−, moving it from the Good category to Excellent. The long-term issuer credit rating was also raised from bbb+ to a− with a Stable outlook. Eurasia became the first insurance company in Kazakhstan to secure an A− financial strength rating from AM Best. The agency assessed the company’s risk-adjusted capitalization at the highest “Strongest” level. The upgrade was driven by balance sheet strength, robust internal capital generation, and a conservative investment portfolio. According to National Bank of Kazakhstan data as of July 1, 2026, Eurasia’s assets stand at 716 billion tenge, representing a 41% share of the general insurance market.
