The Astana International Financial Centre and the Busan financial center signed a memorandum of understanding on September 16 during the Kazakh president’s visit to South Korea.
The document was signed by Bakhtiyar Tleubekov, CEO of the AIFC Authority, and Myung-Ho Rhee, President of the Busan International Financial Center. The memorandum provides for sharing expertise in international financial center management, joint research, seminars, and educational programs. The parties also plan to raise investor awareness of opportunities across the Kazakh and South Korean markets and facilitate direct interaction between the two countries’ financial communities. At the same meeting, Tleubekov was elected to the board of directors of the World Alliance of International Financial Centers.
