AIFC adds digital assets to Investment Tax Residency Programme

The Astana International Financial Centre has expanded its partnership with Bybit Kazakhstan and Binance Kazakhstan, adding digital assets to the Investment Tax Residency Programme (ITRP).

In August 2026, the AIFC added digital assets to the programme’s list of eligible investment instruments. Investments in digital assets via AFSA-licensed platforms now qualify under the programme, provided the investor maintains a minimum investment of USD 150,000 throughout their participation.

The programme allows foreign nationals to invest in eligible AIFC instruments and obtain a long-term investor visa alongside tax residency under simplified terms. Bybit Kazakhstan and Binance Kazakhstan are registered with the AIFC and operate under relevant AFSA licenses. The programme has been active since September 2022.
