Three-quarters of Kazakh banks use AI in credit scoring, fraud prevention, and marketing, according to the “Fintech in Kazakhstan 2026” study by RISE Research.
75% of domestic banks already apply artificial intelligence across key business areas. The technology is shifting from experimentation to daily operations: while 31 organizations were at the early research stage in 2024, that figure dropped to 22 in 2025, and the number of pilot projects increased from 4 to 13.
The main trend is a shift in focus from client-facing interfaces to internal operational tasks. The top five areas of AI deployment are operations (21% of respondents), software development and IT systems support (18%), risk management and compliance (16%), marketing and sales (15%), and customer support (14%).
